Wade Deacon Trust Academy Governors are working with Principals and staff to ensure pupils get the best from their time in our academies. Individuals who sit on local governing bodies (LGBs) are referred to as ‘local governors’. This is because trustees can delegate governance functions to the local level. Trustees have complete discretion over what is delegated to each LGB. Details of the constitution and membership of Strategic Governing Bodies are available on member Academy websites. Their role is a strategic one to:
Ensure clarity of the Trusts vision, ethos and strategic direction;
Working with the Trust hold the Principal to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its students, and the performance management of staff;
Oversee the financial performance of the school making sure its money is well spent.
