How to Apply

If schools are forced to close due to the Coronavirus, we will continue with recruitment processes because we still need to fill vacancies ready for September. Application, shortlisting and referencing can all be undertaken remotely and our school leaders are able to participate fully in recruitment while school is closed. Arrangements for school visits and interviews may be affected, depending on the length and nature of school closures. Candidates will be kept informed of developments via email. Please submit your application to the email address listed on the vacancy page, but you may also contact the Trust's central HR team at hr@wadedeacontrust.co.uk for support if required.

Job Information Pack

Download the job information pack from the vacancies page for the post you are interested in.

Application Documents

There are three documents which accompany any application;

1. Application Form

Application Form (Word)

Application Form (pdf)

If you have any difficulty downloading the application form, please contact the school or the Trust HR office to request a hard copy by post.

2. Supplementary Information Form

Supplementary Information Form (pdf)

If you have any difficulty downloading the supplementary information form, please contact the school or the Trust HR office to request a hard copy by post.

3. Letter

An accompanying letter of support written to the Principal, maximum two sides of A4 font 12, addressing the following points:

  • why you are interested in this post and how you have prepared yourself so far
  • what contributions you feel you can make to pupils’ development within our school
  • any particular areas of strength and expertise you feel you may have

Please ensure you send us all three documents as outlined above. We will be unable to process applications with missing elements.

References

On the application form you are asked to nominate two referees, one of whom must be your present employer. Close relatives are not accepted as referees, and two referees from the same school or organisation will not be accepted.

The process of calling for references is an important element of Safer Recruitment and therefore applications with nominated referees that do not meet the above rules will be rejected. Please take care to make sure your referees will be acceptable.

Sending your application

Each school processes applications for their own vacancies. Please email your application to the address specified in the job pack with a clear reference to the post you are applying for in the subject line.

If you are unable to email your application, you may post your application to the school with the envelope clearly marked with the post you are applying for. The postal address for the school is listed in the job pack and on the school's website.

If you choose to send your application by more than one method, then please indicate this on each copy that you send.
