Simon Corner

Director of Secondary Education

Simon Corner is a committed education leader with a strong record of improving schools and raising standards.

As Principal and later Executive Principal of Wade Deacon High School, Simon guided the school to sustained excellence, culminating in an Ofsted Outstanding judgement in all areas (2022).

His leadership focused on high-quality teaching and learning, rigorous quality assurance, and developing aspirational leadership at every level.

In his current role as Director of Secondary Education, Simon leads the secondary phase across the Wade Deacon Trust, shaping strategy, driving collaboration, and embedding a robust school improvement model.

He works across all secondary schools in the Trust to ensure consistency of standards, share best practice, and build leadership capacity.

Beyond the Trust, Simon plays an active role in local and regional education networks, supporting system-wide improvement and mentoring other school leaders.
