School Experience Programme (SEP)

Gaining classroom experience can be invaluable in terms of decision making about whether teaching is the right career path. This will also support any ITE programme application that is subsequently made.

On placement, potential trainees will have the opportunity to:

• Talk to teachers about day-to-day school life
• Observe teaching and pastoral work
• Experience a range of lessons and age groups being taught

This will provide a valuable insight into teaching and potentially create a focus point for subsequent applications and interviews. The SEP will allow prospective trainees the opportunity to experience one full day at one of our alliance schools.
