Exceptional performance from Hillside, Wade Deacon and Widnes Academy reflected in Census

Wade Deacon Trust is delighted to share that three of its schools have received national recognition for outstanding performance in the Summer 2025 Census, earning prestigious recognition badges from The Engagement Platform (TEP).

The three schools were Hillside High School, Wade Deacon High School and Widnes Academy.

Each of these schools have performed in the top tier nationally on one or more measures, placing them among the most engaged schools in the country.

All schools met the threshold response rate required to ensure these results are representative of its pupils.

Hillside High School received recognition badges for inclusion (KS3 and KS4), enjoyment (KS3 and KS4) and for being in the top 10% of secondary schools recommended by pupils.

Wade Deacon High School also received recognition badges for inclusion, enjoyment and effort across both KS3 and KS4, and was in the top 5% of secondary schools recommended by pupils.

Widnes Academy received a recognition badge for being in the top 10% of primary schools recommended by pupils.

These badges are outstanding achievements, and are a reflection of the culture and values that are bearing fruit in all of our schools, in addition to our shared Commitment to Excellence, which we pride ourselves on right across the Trust.

A massive Congratulations must go to Colleagues for the work that each of you do on a daily basis to create environments in which pupils feel valued and enjoy being a part of, learning and growing!
