Over the last academic year schools in the Wade Deacon Trust have undergone various capital projects to upgrade and expand their facilities to support the delivery of excellent teaching and learning.
2018/2019
Halewood Academy - Remodelling to create 10 new classrooms
10 new classrooms have been created at the school to provide pupils and staff access with an enhanced learning environment to help support the improvement of attainment. The rooms are bright, have access to the latest technology and allow staff to have access to dedicated teaching spaces. This scheme has been well received by pupils and staff alike.

Hillside High School - New Pupil Toilets
A development of a 26-cubicle modern restroom facility. The Trust places value on the ability for all our pupils to be in a position to access suitable high quality facilities. This has been well received by our pupils and staff. This 1930’s building with it its prominent iconic facade is being brought to modern design and build quality inside.

Hillside High School - LED Lighting Upgrade
The school has benefited from an LED upgrade to the entire lighting provision in school. This will provide long term financial savings to the school through reduced energy usage and maintenance costs. In improving the quality of light and the light output not only does the light appear brighter and whiter, which makes it easier and more comfortable to play sports, it also enhances the classroom environment for a positive learning experience.
Sylvester Primary Academy - Reception, Waiting Area and corridor improvements
The Trust has supported the school in creating a warm, welcoming and safe entrance to the school which ensures that pupils and staff are greeted in a positive way as they arrive each day. The area is now bright and spacious and provides for a professional facility for all stakeholders. High standards of build to bring a modern feel has been used,

Improvements to external play areas and external fabric of the building to provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment for our students
Widnes Academy - Toilet Facilities
Our youngest learners have benefited from an upgrade to their learning environment to support them becoming more aware through all kinds of physical, constructional, mental activities and play. We have also sought to provide high quality restroom/toilet facilities in this iconic Victorian building which is a landmark next to the Silver Jubilee Bridge.
