Wade Deacon Trust is celebrating after eight individuals from across our Halton schools were recognised at the inaugural awards ceremony at Cronton Playhouse.
Over 350 nominations were received across the ten categories, with a trio of winners, including both pupils and staff, from Wade Deacon Trust schools.
Elayna B (The Grange Academy), Ms R Prescott (Wade Deacon High School) and Josh M (The Grange Academy) were recognised for their outstanding contributions and dedication.
Elayna scooped the Inspirational Person of the Year Award after being recognised for her resilience and determination, setting an example for all of her peers that despite what barriers you face in life, with the right attitude and support, you can achieve.
Josh took home the Young Entrepreneur Award as a result of the remarkable impact he has had in his role as an anti-racism ambassador. His dedication to advocating for inclusivity and sharing knowledge has been incredible.
Ms Prescott was honoured with the Inspirational Teacher of the Year Award, with her boundless enthusiasm and dedication, not only to her pupils and her subject: Drama, but also to the entire school community, being powerfully affirmed.

Ms S Cunliffe, The Grange Academy (Support Star of the Year)
In the face of adversity, Sarah has continued to fully commit herself to the children that she works with, all the while, her resilience and determination continues to inspire her colleagues.
Sophie H, The Grange Academy (Sports Personality of the Year Award)
As a result of her passion and care for others, Sophie has been commended for affording opportunities to take part in gymnastics, not only to her peers, but to younger children in the local community.
Ian Kirkham, Wade Deacon Trust (Lifetime Achievement Award)
Following more than 30 years of service to Wade Deacon, Ian has been nominated to honour his wholehearted commitment and invaluable contributions to the Trust, schools and local communities.
Noah M, Widnes Academy (Inspirational Young Person of the Year Award)
Noah demonstrated an incredible level of maturity, calmness and responsibility when responding to an emergency situation which has inspired peers and friends alike.
Taila R, The Grange Academy (Outstanding Citizenship Award)
Taila has been recognised for her unyielding and selfless commitment and proactivity in supporting an individual, and an initiative, which is part of a community scheme outside of school.
