Wade Deacon High School has welcomed its new Executive Principal, Mr Brendan Hesketh, who has taken over the reins.
This development comes following Simon Corner’s promotion to Director of Secondary Education at Wade Deacon Trust.
Mr Hesketh has a proven track record in school leadership, bringing a wealth of experience with him to his new post.
He has worked in education as a senior leader for over twenty years in a wide range of schools and has been a Principal and a Trust Director of Education since 2013.
The new Executive Principal is no stranger to the rigorous environment he now finds himself in, having previously served as Principal for six years at a school graded as Outstanding by Ofsted.
Mr Hesketh has taken post at a time when Wade Deacon High School is seeking to build on its exceptional reputation and provision as one of the strongest institutions in the North West.
Brendan Hesketh commented:
“I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as the Executive Principal of Wade Deacon High School.
“I strongly believe that a successful school is built on positive relationships between staff, students, parents, and the wider community. I am incredibly excited about the prospect of working in partnership with everyone to continue the excellent work of colleagues, such as Mr Corner, to provide the very best opportunities for every single one of our students in all aspects of their education.
“I have always considered working in education to be a privilege and a pleasure. I am looking forward to an incredibly exciting journey ahead, working together to ensure Wade Deacon High School continues to be a place of excellence, opportunity and success for everyone.”
Gary Kelly, Chief Executive Officer at Wade Deacon Trust, commented:
“This news represents the start of a new and exciting chapter in Wade Deacon’s rich history.
“Brendan Hesketh has demonstrated a strong commitment to educational excellence in his previous roles and is well-equipped to build on the very strong foundations that are already in place at Wade Deacon High School.
“While leadership transitions inevitably bring about change, together – with Mr Hesketh – we are committed to ensuring a smooth and positive transition for our pupils, staff and the entire school community.”
