During this academic year schools in the Wade Deacon Trust are undergoing various capital projects to upgrade and expand their facilities to support the delivery of excellent teaching and learning.
2019-2020
Halewood Academy - New Dining Tables and Barriers
The Trust has supported the school in procuring new dining furniture for the large communal area. This furniture was installed in January 2019 and staff and pupils have welcomed the inproved facilities.

Hillside High School - Classroom Refurbishment Programme
Since September 2019, the Trust has been working with Hillside High School to refurbish all their school classrooms. This is a rolling programme which will take a number of years to complete. Having the right teaching and learning spaces is important to ensure pupils can be comfortable and supported in a positive learning environment.

Hillside High School - Reception & Foyer
In August 2020 the Trust funded a new reception and foyer to accompany the rolling programme of refurbishment to the front of the school.

The Trust has been working with Sylvester Primary to refurbish an area of school so that it can provide a dedicated Early Years

Whiston Willis Primary Academy - Creation of a nurture base
The Trust has been working with Whiston Willis Primary to refurbish an area of school so that it can provide a nurture base. This space included an area outside for pupils to play. Nurture groups offer a short-term focused intervention which addresses barriers to learning arising from social or emotional difficulties.
